Will Tuesday’s special election in Massachusetts be real?

There has been a lot of press in the last couple of days on the Coakley vs. Brown special election in Massachusetts for Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat next Tuesday… it looks like it’s too close to call.

Brad Friedman over at The Brad Blog has been covering this and today he did an article on the Diebold Voting Machines which are famous for being “hackable”. He has included about ten minutes of the film Hacking Democracy which shows hom the voting machines can have the votes reversed.

The whole article was printed in The Gouverneur Times which you can go to by clicking HERE. The video is about 2/3 of the way down the article. Or you can watch it here:

Let’s keep an eye on this one.

Unfortunately, this is too common in America…

Arkansas man pleads guilty to threatening to kill Obama

Washington (CNN) — An Arkansas man has pleaded guilty to plotting to kill several African-Americans in 2008, including then-presidential candidate Barack Obama, the Justice Department announced Thursday.

Paul Schlesselman of West Helena, Arkansas, faces 10 years in prison under a plea agreement reached with federal prosecutors in Tennessee.

Paul Schlesselman of West Helena, Arkansas, pleaded guilty to plotting to kill several African-Americans in 2008.

Federal officials in Washington said Schlesselman threatened to kill then-Sen. Obama on October 23, 2008, shortly before the presidential election.

He also planned to “murder dozens of people with a focus on murdering African-Americans” the Justice Department said.

“Despite great civil rights progress, hate-fueled violence remains all too common in our country, as illustrated by this unthinkable conspiracy,” said Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Thomas Perez in a statement issued by his Justice Department office.

Organic Comsumers Association Calls Boycott on Fake Organic Body Care Brands

Before OCA launched the boycott of brands that are falsely marketing themselves as organic, it gave producers an opportunity to come clean. Beginning September 24, 2009, at the Natural Products Expo East in Boston, OCA met with personal care products companies engaged in organic fraud and urged them to sign a contract making a pledge to consumers that they will either meet organic standards or stop making false organic claims. The following brands refused and are now being boycotted:
