Romney has meeting (off the record) with Conservative Press.

This from Alan Colmes:

Did you know you can get your own life size cardboard cut-out Mitt? It has the same political insight as the real candidate.

Mitt Romney and wife Ann met for two hours Wednesday with several dozen conservative bloggers, reporters and columnists in an off-the-record gathering at a private Washington, D.C., club, according to attendees…

The attendees came from numerous conservative sites and right-of-center publications, including National Review, Daily Caller, American Spectator, Washington Examiner, Right Wing News, Powerline, Townhall, Ace of Spades, Rhiel World View, WorldNetDaily, and Pajamas Media. RNC chairman Reince Preibus also attended.

The message was that Romney would not get a fair shake from the mainstream media and was counting on support from conservative media.

This seems to be print media only… I don’t see Fox News or any of the conservative AM radio stations on the list. Of course it is questionable whether Obama will get a “fair shake” from these guys.

“Fair shakes” don’t seem to be major campaign ideals.

Most Disgusting Quote of July – have you heard this one?

Referring to the mass murders in Norway and the murderer’s views on immigrants:

Pat Buchanan joins the Ranks of the Inverted

“With her native-born populations aging, shrinking and dying, Europe’s nations have not discovered how to maintain their prosperity without immigrants. Yet the immigrants who have come – from the Caribbean, Africa, the Middle East, South Asia – have been slow to learn the language and have failed to attain the educational and occupational levels of Europeans. And the welfare states of Europe are breaking under the burden.[…]”

As for a climactic conflict between a once-Christian West and an Islamic world that is growing in numbers and advancing inexorably into Europe for the third time in 14 centuries, on this one, Breivik may be right.”

– Pat Buchanan in an OpEd on World Net Daily.

Of course, Pat Buchanan is the main reason I don’t even turn Morning Joe on any more. If MSNBC had any sense, they’d ship him over to Fox who would welcome him in with open arms.
