Gee… Elly and I are no longer “Middle Income”

Well, we have to thank the Mittster for making the economic level of middle income clear. He told George Stephanopoulos:

Romney Interview: $250K is middle income

GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: Is $100,000 middle income?

MITT ROMNEY: No, middle income is $200,000 to $250,000 and less.

Even with Elly’s full time teaching job and my Social Security plus pension money, which used to make us think we were middle income, puts us in the ranks of the lower economic folks.

Does this mean that the rich folk Romney cultivates are going to avoid tax increases allowing Romney to claim he had served the middle class? I guess so. What a clever ruse.

If we elect Obama we can move back into the middle class and not feel so depleted in our economic situation. Not that I don’t wish we made $250,000.00, but we are not likely to. And, of course, we don ‘t make $100,000.00 either. I guess we are now poor.

Hard to believe: Romney says Obama will lie in debates!

Mitt Romney says that he expects President Obama to lie in the Presidential debates. He said this on Good Morning America on national Television:

“…the challenge that I’ll have in the debate is that the president tends to, how shall I say it, to say things that aren’t true. I’ve looked at prior debates, and in that kind of case, it’s difficult to say, ‘Well, am I going to spend my time correcting things that aren’t quite accurate? Or am I going to spend my time talking about the things I want to talk about?’”

Talk about the words of a liar… is it a good strategy to try and lay onto an opponent your own deficiencies.
What in hell does this man think he is pulling off here?

Newsflash: MSNBC President Phil Griffin Threatened To Fire Keith Olbermann

This from HuffPo:

MSNBC President Phil Griffin vowed to fire Keith Olbermann if he went on other networks to discuss his suspension, The Daily Beast‘s Howard Kurtz reports.
Kurtz writes that the threat came during a conversation with Michael Price, Olbermann’s manager, on Nov. 7, two days into Olbermann’s suspension. Price told Griffin that, if the suspension was not resolved quickly, Olbermann would appear on “Good Morning America,” “Larry King Live” and David Letterman‘s “Late Show” to air his side of the story.
“If you go on GMA, I will fire Keith,” Griffin reportedly replied. Minutes later, though, Griffin released the statement announcing the lifting of the suspension and preventing an even more serious showdown. When Price asked Griffin why he had made such an extreme threat, Griffin told him, “we are at war.”
