Quote of the Day – Donald Trump remains a Birther

“That’s the way life works… He didn’t know he was running for president, so he told the truth. The literary agent wrote down what he said… He said he was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia… Now they’re saying it was a mistake. Just like his Kenyan grandmother said he was born in Kenya, and she pointed down the road to the hospital, and after people started screaming at her she said, ‘Oh, I mean Hawaii.’ Give me a break.”

– Trump in an interview

Another name for Birther is Asshole.

The Reason John Boehner is an Asshole…

John Boehner

John (Asshole) Boehner

WASHINGTON — House Speaker John Boehner says Americans have a right to think what they want to think, even when they are wrong about President Barack Obama‘s citizenship and his religion.

Boehner tells NBC’sMeet the Press” that he believes Obama was born in Hawaii and that the president is a Christian, and that those are facts.
Some people believe that Obama was born outside the U.S. or in some other way is not a natural-born citizen eligible to be president. There is also a persistent belief among some that Obama is a Muslim.
Boehner denies that he is willing to let those misperceptions remain because they weaken and delegitimize Obama.

Asked why he doesn’t speak against such perceptions, Boehner says it’s not his job to tell Americans what to think.

Certainly, no Democrat would let such Bullcrap stand against a Republican. Boehner either has no need to make his Party seem intelligent, or he is carrying out a political ploy. Let’s hope it’s one of the many things that make his control of the House a short one.

Senator Charles Grassley Pushes a False Rumor on Iowan Constituents…

Can you believe this schmuck? That he would say something that he knows to be untrue is a sure sign of being a Repiglican.

One of the three Republican senators working on a bipartisan health care bill perpetuated a particularly outrageous untruth about the legislation on Wednesday.
Appearing at a town hall in his home state of Iowa, Sen. Chuck Grassley told a crowd of more than 300 that they were correct to fear that the government would “pull the plug on grandma.”
“There is some fear because in the House bill, there is counseling for end-of-life,” Grassley said. “And from that standpoint, you have every right to fear. You shouldn’t have counseling at the end of life. You ought to have counseling 20 years before you’re going to die. You ought to plan these things out. And I don’t have any problem with things like living wills. But they ought to be done within the family. We should not have a government program that determines if you’re going to pull the plug on grandma.”
