Join a Community Bank… let’s have a new economy!

I’d like to lend my support to the “Move Your Money” campaign. It’s time we take back control of our economy.

OK… if you are convinced after the video, go HERE for a listing of Community Banks to move to. The you can be like Stephanie Frost, who ditched Bank of America after reviewing the “Move Your Bank” material: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/12/31/woman-documents-closing-h_n_407905.html

  1. I haven’t used any of the big national banks in over 20 years, because none of them have ever been competitive in terms of fees, interest paid on deposits, or anything else. Their sole reason for being was the fact there was a branch on every street corner, and ATM’s eliminated that reason for being. I’ve used either regional banks or credit unions (where available) ever since ATM’s became common. My “bank” is currently a credit union.

People who have their money in Bank of America, Citibank, etc., are morons to begin with. They should have treated their choice of bank the way they treated any other significant business decision — by looking for the best deal for their money. Instead they acted like sheep, going with a bank because “everybody’s using that bank”. Bah, humbug!
